About Michael

Hi, my name is Michael Higgins, and I’m the founder of Good Vibes Bookkeeping. I was born and raised right here in the Normandy Park and Seattle area, and I’m proud to serve the community that shaped me.

After earning my degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Finance and Investments from the University of Washington, I spent years working for Fortune 500 companies here in Seattle and major private firms across the country. While that experience gave me a world-class education in high-level finance, I realized my true passion wasn’t in the corporate boardroom—it was in helping independent business owners succeed.

Why "Good Vibes"?

I started this business because I know that for many owners, "accounting" and "bookkeeping" are synonymous with "stress." I chose the name Good Vibes because I believe your finances should provide peace of mind, not a headache. Our mission is built on clear communication and removing the burden of daily money management so you can focus on what you do best building your business and brand!

Life in the PNW

When I’m not at the desk (usually with my "Good Vibes" office dog, Kona, the Golden Retriever, by my side), I’m enjoying everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer with my wife, Katie, and our children, Kaela and Austin. Whether we are traveling to visit friends and family near the San Juan Islands or heading over the mountains to Lake Chelan, we love soaking up the beauty of Washington state.
